Deck Primer
Alphamon: Ouryuken

The gameplan is simple: Digivolve while attacking, BT09 X-Antibody-style.

And if any Security is touched, trigger nifty AT-effects like:

  • Delete opponent's lowest DP Digimon
  • -8k DP on an opponent's Digimon
  • Blast-DNA to Alphamon Ouryuken, -15k DP on 1 opponent's Digimon, Trash 1 opponent's Security, Recovery +1, gain 3 Memory

BUT: [Chronicle] suffers severly from needing a full evoline in hand, digivolving without barely any cost reduction, and next to none trash recursion.

To mitigate these

The gameplan is simple: Digivolve while attacking, BT09 X-Antibody-style.

BUT: [Chronicle] suffers severly from needing a full evoline in hand, digivolving without barely any cost reduction, and next to none trash recursion.

To mitigate these issues, this deck aims to maximize draw power, filtering, and reducing evo-costs.

So how does the deck work?

Hatch Promo Dorimon. Raise either Ryudamon or EX-13 Dorumon , and let BT-20 Dorumon  be your [On Play]-searcher.
Digivolve into:

  • BT 20 Raptordramon to cheat out a Tamer
  • Ginryumon to swing for Digivolution, or
  • EX-13 Raptordramon to DP-minus, and swing for Digivolution.

Then, digivolve either through Ginryumon 's or EX-13 Raptordramon's [When Attacking], or Dorimon 's Inheritable to your Level 5 of choice:

  • Hisyaryumon to gain <<Sec.Att.+1>>, +5k DP, and optionally set a Level 3 into the empty breeding area
  • Grademon to gain immunity against opponent's Digimon effect, +5k DP, and optionally ...hold up, déjà vu...

  • EX-13 Grademon to gain <<Reboot>>, <<Blocker>>, immunity against opponent's Digimon effect, +5k DP ...there it was again..., and to digivolve from hand or trash for cost at EoT.

Basically: You start with a Level 3/4, and end turn on a Level 6 of choice:

  • Alphamon , to [When Digivolving] -8k DP 1 opponent's Digimon, probably gain 2 Memory back (after all the spending you had in the first place), and since it's EoYT play a [Chronicle] trait card for 6 Memory less, give it <<Rush>>, if it's a Digimon, have it attack, and repeat the [When Digivolving]

  • Alphamon , to <<Recovery +1>>, and [All Turns] -8k DP 1 opponent's Digimon when any Security stack is removed from

  • Ouryumon , to <<De-Digivolve 2>> 1 opponent's Digimon, <<Piercing>>, and [All Turns] delete your opponent's lowest DP Digimon, when a Security stack is removed from

What's the catch?

Gathering the pieces, and mostly passing your opponent to 4+ Memory, when Ouryumon is your only Level 6 in hand. You're kind of banking on your opponent to trigger your Blast Ace in Counter Timing to regain momentum, but your Digimon's immunity doesn't shield it from Option or Tamer effects - making the whopping -5 Ace Overflow in the post-BT 24-meta a detriment.

The supplements

Since [Chronicle] mostly draws its plays from Digimon effects, your Tamers and Options are mainly facilitators to the gameplan, rather than crucial to a strategy.
I suggest a few copies of Digital Gate Open for additional searches, and the possibility to cheese out Kota Domoto & Yuji Musya . Dual colour Trainings for optimized searches, Analog Youth to filter and setup trash, the new Kota Domoto also to setup trash / sculpting hand /memory gain. Release of the Sealed Knight! is basically your only [Chronicle] trait option, as the conditions for its [Delay] effect are easier met than Fellowship of Hope's Keepers (hence why I omitted this card specifically).

The Maybeboard

Of course there is room for variation. My goal for this build was to stay as close to the [Chronicle] trait as possible, but there are good cards that fit into the archetype as well.

  • Ryudamon has an often times overlooked inheritable while also being a very good searcher for the deck, but works better with Yuji Musya  in deck
  • Laplace's Demon  is a nice tech to lure in the ACE-play
  • Metal Cannon is a brilliant option to replenish your hand, if you can muster an [X-Antibody] trait Digimon stack on field. Draw 1 if you've promoted from breeding. Draw 9 if you DNA digivolved 2 stacks
  • X Antibody  is a handy substitute, if your stack is missing a Dorimon to facilitate Digivolution when attacking
  • X Antibody Proto Form is neat for cost reduction and recursion, but deck space is limited, and I can't come up with an argument, how this facilitates [Chronicle]'s gameplan. Let me know, what you think!
  • X Digivolution! is an interesting Option in tandem with Kota Domoto , but with no means to manipulate the top deck drawing order, this is a gamble with a high chance of trashing 3.

Going forward

I still have to playtest the deck, and I think the EX13 support has given [Chronicle] better tools to work with. The next steps would be memory efficiency, as the effects tend to be more on the generous end of memory spending, thus prone to losing momentum if not piloted correctly.
