If your idea is to use x7 superior mode by Kotone's effect, then you can't, since its effect specifies that it can only be used if you're going to play it from your hand (read the card, not the page text). In that case, it's better to use BT21's superior mode, which doesn't have the hand restriction, to reduce its cost by 1 when you place a Shoutmon underneath.

i just knew about Kotone last night when i was talking with some people, i dont think i would use Kotone's effect to summon it even if it works that way, Superior Mode is just a backup plan. i summoned it using taiki's effect if that makes sense.

i'm trying to build a comfortable build rn, if you got any reccomendations, i would be gladly hear it, (newbie here lol). people have been pointing me to cut Zeig, add Atlur or Shoutmon DX

Honestly, it's a good idea to remove Zeiggreymon; it doesn't have any synergy beyond being part of Xros. I've played Xros Heart almost forever, and a card that fulfills its purpose in terms of color and utility is Shoutmon DX from BT11. It's blue to match Zeiggreymon's color, it's searchable, which makes it more consistent, and you can also save it with "material save", unlike the DX version from BT21. This is because its Rurulebox states that its name is treated as Zeiggreymon all the time, unlike the new version, which is only considered for DigiXros.

And level 3s aren't that important, only BT19's Shoutmon and Sparrowmon, but that one isn't that necessary.

Those are the kinds of tips I could give you without altering your recipe too much. I hope it helps! (By the way, I have several versions of Xros Heart on my profile, including one that won several tournaments and an EvoCup, haha.)
