I like it very much why ex4 cherubi instead of st cherubi?

ST Cherubimon is just a worse version of the Ace. EX4 Cherubimon gives its stack and another Digimon "protection", maintaining their prescence on the board. On top of that, since it applies to the stack, if you blast evolve and it dies, you can just replay it and activate its effect again. It helps the Ace stick around, basically.
