Well you might be wondering why I posted a budget version of my Purple Base Megidramon list. Well that's to prove that there are quite a defensive ways to build the deck. This build is focused more on draining their opponents of their resources while gaining more advantage from deleting their own Digimon and using the trash as a second hand. I have been playing Megidramon since before BT 14 released so I know the cards quite well and have thought about the different approaches. ChaosGallantmon is an amazing card if it goes off but it really requires a lot to work. Same thing with the BT 5 Megidramon although that ones in the deck because it has an unconditional mill five cards. That's extremely strong in this deck as it can be recycled and looped while clearing boards with that effect to shred through your opponents cards. It's On Delete is particularly nasty when paired with Megidramon Ace which lets you delete your opponents cards while being hard to deal with. The new Megidramon is amazing overall. Honestly the ratios of the deck needs some tuning and once the new support is released I will see what I can do. Hopefully we get a Megidramon X soon. It will probably take the spots that the BT 5 Megidramon has.
I almost forgot to mention this but the reason why I run Mist Memory Boost instead of the trainings or scrambles is because the Takato are pure Red cards so they cannot be added to hand while Mist Memory Boost is just useful for almost everything in the deck.
