Deck Primer

V5 is a very different deck than its counterparts in a few different ways.  The first thing that separates V5 from the other versions is that it can evo from trash consistently.  As in that's kinda what it was designed to do.  This allows the deck to be extremely aggressive and do some cool things.  The second thing is that the deck is very much attack oriented.  It is designed to be very aggressive.  It isn't weak to Aces though thanks to a combination of removal effects

It isn't weak to Aces though thanks to a combination of removal effects during their attacks.  This also means that if they stay on the board these Digimon will continuously threaten these same type of plays each time.  They also have a lot of on deletion inherits which I always thought was odd since the deck didn't explore that part of the deck more.  But that leads to my next point.  Machinedramon is a V5 card.  You could run Machinedramon as your top end and run the level 5 Cyborgs.  But that is a completely different brew from this build of V5.  This is pure V5.  It is an aggro deck among aggro decks and wants to rush down their opponents as much as possible while using their effects to disrupt their opponents and rip through their board.  The level 4s that belong to V5 happen to be some of the most aggressive level 4 Digimon in the series.  DarkTyrannomon, Devidramon, and Tuskmon all have a lot of aggression and are quite violent Digimon if not even a threat just by existing.  I suppose that's why they play the way they do.  They are mindless beast that rampage without any fear of death.  I guess those on deletions are there for lore reasons.  Even if they fall in battle, they will mess up their opponent.  Raremon is a really cool card as well but that goes for all of the failure level 4s.  At the end of your turn you tuck sources underneath Raremon to get an Evo into EXTyrannomon.  You can do the others but it will cost a lot of memory.  EXTyrannomon is a very strong card.  Fortitude in a deck that can abuse it with Analogman is absurd.  It is hard to keep down as a result.  It is also an Ace threat each time.  It's on play will also suspend cards which becomes tricky especially if you can get the bounce effect as well.  Datamon is a tricky card to deal with as well since it is immune to De-Digivolve and can force stuff into attacking.  It also gets to pretty high DP thresholds which when paired with Raid and Blocker can become pretty useful for control or removal.  It's also a very strong ace target.  Raidenmon Ace is an incredible card.  At first I thought the card was bad but over time it grew on me.  Collision and Blocker is always nice to have especially on a body you can buff up a lot now.  It also constantly de-digivolves and suspends cards which is really useful.  It can also unsuspend one of your Digimon in a pinch.  It's especially useful with EXTyrannomon underneath it to trash your opponent top security after it blocks.  If you had Monochromon underneath EXTyrannomon you can block with it first to stop a weaker attacker and then go into raiden on a stronger attacker.  That probably won't come up all that often but it might.  Speaking of Monochromon, the card isn't a V5 but that is fine as it's on attack effect to de-Digivolve stuff while tucking a face down source is extremely useful with the egg of the deck.  The egg lets you trash that same face down source to go into a V5 from trash for its cost.  By timing your on attacks right you can break through your opponents defenses pretty quick and for very little setup.

You can replace Dinomon for Medieval but I cut that card for budget reasons.  Note that Dinomon can Evo for its regular cost on two of the level 5s in the deck and benefits from both their inherits.  It's kinda funny how good that card is here.
